Premiered in Berlinale Generation KPlus 2013, where it won Grand Prix of the International Jury, Mother, I Love You has been screened in more than 120 international film festivals so far, winning more than 15 national and international awards, including the Best Narrative Feature in the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Best European Children’s Film of the Year award by the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA) and others. Film scooped the Best feature film as well as the award for Best director, Best actress and the Audience award at the awards ceremony of the Latvian National Film Festival Lielais Kristaps and was submitted as Latvia’s candidate to the 2014 Academy Awards in the Foreign Film Category.
