MUSHROOMERS
DVD, Latvia, comedies, fictionPeter is the most ordinary person. He lives with his mother and works at the office, where he is the butt of his colleagues’ jokes. All goes well until his sexually aggressive female boss decides to take him to Africa. And then his pretty colleague starts flirting with him, as well. Tired of all this attention, Peter sneaks into an army base to pick psychedelic mushrooms. So begins the trip that will change Peter’s life.
The film tells about finding oneself. The main character Peter walks through all the circles of corporate hell and is ready for unexpected measures to untangle the difficult relationships with his mother, boss and the girl of his dreams and to emerge of the madness that is his life. Mushroomers tells about the role of women in a man’s life, where comical scenes are complimented by impressive special effects. Unusual for Latvian cinema, it’s a revealing, daring black comedy that lets us laugh about ourselves.
